Summary: Rather disturbingly, there were a lot of films back in the day about women being genetically altered, being evil, or both. It sounds disgusting and sexist on paper, but one must come to grips with how that was the way of thinking in those days. Those awkward, now socially unacceptable days. Anyway, here's some spider women.

History: Dr. Aranya has made his base of operations in the "Muerto Desert" at a place known as Zarpa Mesa. He's been experimenting with injecting tarantula DNA into humans with gusto, and results vary. He may have produced ugly dwarfs after getting males injected, but he managed to created powerful, seductive spider-women after testing on females. There's also a dog-sized tarantula he made, but that's not important. He's just having fun playing God.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Eventually, Aranya and all of his creations are destroyed when his would-be assistant breaks free of his control and blows the whole lab up with them in it. However, one of the Lost Women is shown to have survived.

Powers/Abilities: The Lost Women can regenerate any lost limbs. They can also inject venom into their victims.

Weakness: All of the women's body parts must be destroyed at the same time. Best to use fire.

Scariness Factor: 2-Ultimately, the Lost Women don't really do much other than be perpetually frowning assistants to Aranya. In fact, the dwarves and the tarantula do more work than them. And the latter is stiff and frail-looking.

Trivia: -Aranya's name is derived from "arana", the Spanish term for spider.

-The Muerto Desert is based on Jornada del Muerto, a Mexican portion of desert that literally translates to the "Journey of the Dead Man".
